I’ve read a million articles now about real estate blogging, the importance of it and what I should be doing as my first real estate blog post. And to be honest, each one offers different tips and tricks, so I’m going to go with my gut and get a little personal. If we’re going to be friends, I think we should get to know one another, don’t you?
A Little Bit About Me …
My name is Tim Cusick and I’m a Southern California native who moved to the Valley of the Sun in the late 80’s. I enjoy an active lifestyle, and when I’m not assisting my clients with their Phoenix real estate transactions, I spend much of my free time outdoors with my two children (tweens who are involved in gymnastics and hockey, and rarely sleep). From camping and hiking to baseball, football and anything that involves the water and beach — Frisbee, volleyball, boating and fishing.
My background is in architecture and construction, but my passion is real estate. I obtained my real estate license in 1990 and since then have earned five real estate designations (CRS, GRI, ABR, CNE, CDPE) including my broker’s licenses (in both Arizona and California). For the non-agents reading this blog, those additional designations just mean I have some specific skill sets and expertise in certain areas of the business like negotiations, distressed properties, residential, etc.) I am proud to be a member of the Arizona Real Estate Mastermind’s, which is a group of professionals who represent the top 25 Realtors in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. We meet regularly to discuss best practices, housing trends, market analysis, etc., and hopefully you’ll see a couple of those folks make some guest appearances on my blog. In addition to the Mastermind’s, you’ll also be seeing a few guest posts from my team members, Danny Kallay and Shelly Mayol. The more expertise I can share, the merrier I say.
Why Am I Blogging?
To be honest, with the preponderance of Arizona real estate data available on the Internet these days, it’s more important than ever for me to provide consumers with a professional resource/forum to assist them in answering their questions and providing accurate data. I’m sure many of you can relate that for every article you read praising a particular product or service, there are five or six criticizing it. Which one is right? The same holds true for the real estate industry. The Internet does a great job of providing data, but its downfall lies in the fact that it does not accurately interpret that data leaving many home buyers/sellers confused and anxious. Considering the home sale or purchase is one of the largest financial moves in a person’s life, I want to be the Phoenix Realtor who provides you with a secure environment to answer your questions; provide you with little tips and tricks; and filter through all of that data to provide options that make the best financial sense for you and your family. I am extremely proud of the exemplary service the Cusick Group provides to all of our clients and I want to treat this blog with the same level of service I would if you were a client.
Why You Should Keep Coming Back …
I’m going to do my best to provide fresh content that I think you’ll want to read (no pressure). Some of it serious, some of it lighthearted because let’s face it, the topic of real estate can get a bit dry, but all of it will be real from my perspective. I won’t use this blog to feature my listings. That’s what my website is for. If you want to see that stuff, click here.
I’ll end by saying friends don’t always agree and you may not always agree with my views and opinions, and I completely respect that. I want to hear your feedback so feel free to share your thoughts and opinions, or ask me a specific question in the comment section below. All I ask is that you keep your comments, tasteful, professional and profanity-free or they will be removed.
I hope you enjoyed my first post. If you want to see more, be sure to subscribe to my feed.
